The Queen of Sheba Visits Solomon
1. And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great company, and camels that bare spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.
1. La reine de Séba apprit la renommée de Salomon, et elle vint à Jérusalem pour l`éprouver par des énigmes. Elle avait une suite fort nombreuse, et des chameaux portant des aromates, de l`or en grande quantité et des pierres précieuses. Elle se rendit auprès de Salomon, et elle lui dit tout ce qu`elle avait dans le coeur.

"Ary ny mpanjakavavin' i Sheba rehefa nahare ny lazan' i Solomona, dia tonga tany Jerosalema hizaha toetra azy tamin' ny fanontaniana sarotra, ary marobe ny mpanaraka azy, sady be koa ny rameva izay nitondra zava-manitra sy volamena sesehena ary vatosoa; ary rehefa tonga tao amin' i Solomona izy dia niresaka taminy ny amin' izay rehetra tao am-pony."
2. And Solomon told her all her questions: and there was nothing hid from Solomon which he told her not.
2. Salomon répondit à toutes ses questions, et il n`y eut rien que Salomon ne sût lui expliquer.
2. "Ary voavalin' i Solomona izy tamin' izay rehetra nanontaniany azy; tsy nisy zavatra niafina tamin' i Solomona ka tsy nambarany azy."
3. And when the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,
3. La reine de Séba vit la sagesse de Salomon, et la maison qu`il avait bâtie,
3. Ary rehefa hitan' ilay mpanjakavavin' i Sheba ny fahendren' i Solomona sy ny trano izay nataony,
4. And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel; his cupbearers also, and their apparel; and his ascent by which he went up into the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her.
4. et les mets de sa table, et la demeure de ses serviteurs, et les fonctions et les vêtements de ceux qui le servaient, et ses échansons et leurs vêtements, et les degrés par lesquelles on montait à la maison de l`Éternel.

5. And she said to the king, It was a true report which I heard in mine own land of thine acts, and of thy wisdom:
5. Hors d`elle-même, elle dit au roi: C`était donc vrai ce que j`ai appris dans mon pays au sujet de ta position et de ta sagesse!
5. "Dia hoy izy tamin' ny mpanjaka: Marina ny fitantarana efa reko tany amin' ny taniko ny amin' ny asanao sy ny fahendrenao;"
6. Howbeit I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the one half of the greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: for thou exceedest the fame that I heard.
6. Je ne croyais pas ce qu`on en disait, avant d`être venue et d`avoir vu de mes yeux. Et voici, on ne m`a pas raconté la moitié de la grandeur de ta sagesse. Tu surpasses ce que la renommée m`a fait connaître.
6. "Kanefa tsy nino ny filazany aho, raha tsy tonga aty, ka ny masoko no nahita izany; nefa, indro, ny antsasaky ny halehiben' ny fahendrenao aza tsy voalaza tamiko; fa mihoatra noho ny laza efa reko ianao."
7. Happy are thy men, and happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and hear thy wisdom.
7. Heureux tes gens, heureux tes serviteurs, qui sont continuellement devant toi et qui entendent ta sagesse!
7. Sambatra lahy ny olonao, ary sambatra ireto mpanomponao ireto, izay mijanona eto anatrehanao mandrakariva ka mandre ny fahendrenao!
8. Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee to set thee on his throne, to be king for the LORD thy God: because thy God loved Israel, to establish them for ever, therefore made he thee king over them, to do judgment and justice.
8. Béni soit l`Éternel, ton Dieu, qui t`a accordé la faveur de te placer sur son trône comme roi pour l`Éternel, ton Dieu! C`est parce que ton Dieu aime Israël et veut le faire subsister à toujours, qu`il t`a établi roi sur lui pour que tu fasses droit et justice.
8. "Isaorana anie Jehovah Andriamanitrao, izay tia anao ka nametraka anao amin' ny sezafiandrianany ho mpanjaka ho an' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao; fa noho ny fitiavan' Andriamanitrao ny Isiraely hampitoerana azy mandrakizay no nanaovany anao ho mpanjaka eo aminy mba hanao fitsarana sy fahamarinana."
9. And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices great abundance, and precious stones: neither was there any such spice as the queen of Sheba gave king Solomon.
9. Elle donna au roi cent vingt talents d`or, une très grande quantité d`aromates et des pierres précieuses. Il n`y eut plus d`aromates tels que ceux donnés au roi Salomon par la reine de Séba.

10. And the servants also of Huram, and the servants of Solomon, which brought gold from Ophir, brought algum trees and precious stones.
10. Les serviteurs de Huram et les serviteurs de Salomon, qui apportèrent de l`or d`Ophir, amenèrent aussi du bois de santal et des pierres précieuses.

11. And the king made of the algum trees terraces to the house of the LORD, and to the king's palace, and harps and psalteries for singers: and there were none such seen before in the land of Judah.
11. Le roi fit avec le bois de santal des escaliers pour la maison de l`Éternel et pour la maison du roi, et des harpes et des luths pour les chantres. On n`en avait pas vu de semblable auparavant dans le pays de Juda.
11. "Ary ny hazo almoga dia nataon' ny mpanjaka ambaratonga mankamin' ny tranon' i Jehovah sy ny lapan' ny mpanjaka ary nataony harpa sy valiha ho an' ny mpihira; ary tsy mbola nisy hita toy izany teo aloha tamin' ny tanin' ny Joda."
12. And king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which she had brought unto the king. So she turned, and went away to her own land, she and her servants.
12. Le roi Salomon donna à la reine de Séba tout ce qu`elle désira, ce qu`elle demanda, plus qu`elle n`avait apporté au roi. Puis elle s`en retourna et alla dans son pays, elle et ses serviteurs.

Solomon's Splendor
13. Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold;

14. Beside that which chapmen and merchants brought. And all the kings of Arabia and governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon.

15. And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: six hundred shekels of beaten gold went to one target.
15. Le roi Salomon fit deux cents grands boucliers d`or battu, pour chacun desquels il employa six cents sicles d`or battu,

16. And three hundred shields made he of beaten gold: three hundred shekels of gold went to one shield. And the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
16. "et trois cents autres boucliers d`or battu, pour chacun desquels il employa trois cents sicles d`or; et le roi les mit dans la maison de la forêt du Liban."
16. Ary nanao ampinga volamena telonjato koa izy tamin' ny volamena voafisaka, ka takela-bolamena sekely telonjato no napetaka tamin' ny ampinga iray. Dia napetraky ny mpanjaka tao amin' ny trano Alan' i Libanona ireo.
17. Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold.
17. Le roi fit un grand trône d`ivoire, et le couvrit d`or pur.
17. Ary ny mpanjaka koa nanao sezafiandrianana ivory lehibe, ka nopetahany takela-bolamena madio.
18. And there were six steps to the throne, with a footstool of gold, which were fastened to the throne, and stays on each side of the sitting place, and two lions standing by the stays:
18. "Ce trône avait six degrés, et un marchepied d`or attenant au trône; il y avait des bras de chaque côté du siège; deux lions étaient près des bras,"

19. And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps. There was not the like made in any kingdom.

20. And all the drinking vessels of king Solomon were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold: none were of silver; it was not any thing accounted of in the days of Solomon.
20. Toutes les coupes du roi Salomon étaient d`or, et toute la vaisselle de la maison de la forêt du Liban était d`or pur. Rien n`était d`argent: on n`en faisait aucun cas du temps de Salomon.

21. For the king's ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram: every three years once came the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.
21. "Car le roi avait des navires de Tarsis naviguant avec les serviteurs de Huram; et tous les trois ans arrivaient les navires de Tarsis, apportant de l`or et de l`argent, de l`ivoire, des singes et des paons."
21. "Fa ny mpanjaka nanao sambo mpankany Tarsisy niaraka tamin' ny mpanompon' i Hirama; ary indray mandeha isan-telo taona no niavian' ny sambon' i Tarsisy nitondra volamena sy volafotsy sy ivory sy rajako ary vorombola."
22. And king Solomon passed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.
22. Le roi Salomon fut plus grand que tous les rois de la terre par les richesses et par la sagesse.
22. Ary Solomona mpanjaka dia nanankarena sy fahendrena nihoatra noho ny mpanjaka rehetra ambonin' ny tany.
23. And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, that God had put in his heart.
23. Tous les rois de la terre cherchaient à voir Salomon, pour entendre la sagesse que Dieu avait mise dans son coeur.

24. And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and raiment, harness, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.
24. "Et chacun d`eux apportait son présent, des objets d`argent et des objets d`or, des vêtements, des armes, des aromates, des chevaux et des mulets; et il en était ainsi chaque année."

25. And Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; whom he bestowed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
25. Salomon avait quatre mille crèches pour les chevaux destinés à ses chars, et douze mille cavaliers qu`il plaça dans les villes où il tenait ses chars et à Jérusalem près du roi.

26. And he reigned over all the kings from the river even unto the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.
26. Il dominait sur tous les rois, depuis le fleuve jusqu`au pays des Philistins et jusqu`à la frontière d`Égypte.
26. Ary nanjaka tamin' ny mpanjaka rehetra hatramin' ny Ony ka hatramin' ny tanin' ny Filistina ary hatramin' ny sisin' i Egypta izy.
27. And the king made silver in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the low plains in abundance.
27. Le roi rendit l`argent aussi commun à Jérusalem que les pierres, et les cèdres aussi nombreux que les sycomores qui croissent dans la plaine.
27. Ary nataon' ny mpanjaka tahaka ny vato ny habetsaky ny volafotsy tany Jerosalema, ary ny hazo sedera nataony toy ny hazo amontana eny amin' ny tany lemaka noho ny habetsahany.
28. And they brought unto Solomon horses out of Egypt, and out of all lands.
28. C`était de l`Égypte et de tous les pays que l`on tirait des chevaux pour Salomon.

Solomon's Death
29. Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, are they not written in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer against Jeroboam the son of Nebat?
29. Le reste des actions de Salomon, les premières et les dernières, cela n`est-il pas écrit dans le livre de Nathan, le prophète, dans la prophétie d`Achija de Silo, et dans les révélations de Jéedo, le prophète sur Jéroboam, fils de Nebath?

30. And Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.

31. And Solomon slept with his fathers, and he was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.
